The 2024 Crossings Seminar
Delivering God’s Goods:
A Seminar in the Theology and Practice of Preaching

\n\nSunday, January 28th 7 pm – Tuesday, January 30th 12 pm, 2024
The Lutheran theological tradition offers a distinct set of responses to these questions. As one gifted practitioner describes it—
As preachers of God’s word, we seek to probe the darkness of the world and the human condition and to face our own stubborn complicity in compounding that darkness. We seek all the more to remind ourselves and our fellow believers of God’s cruciform promises to suffer the darkness with us, dispel it, and send us out daily, together, as light for the world.
This seminar will help participants explore this tradition and discover ways to make effective use of it in God’s world of 2024. It will encourage preaching and listening that leads wondrously to joy.

Keynote speakers include:
Fred Neidner, Chris Repp, Nathan Hall and Robin Lütjohann

Pallottine Retreat & Conference Center,

About Us

In the early 1970s two seminary professors listened to the plea of some lay Christians. “Can you help us live out our faith in the world of daily work?” they asked. “Can you help us connect Sunday worship with our lives the other six days of the week?”  That is how Crossings was born.

The Crossings Community, Inc. welcomes all people looking for a practice they can carry beyond the walls of their church service and into their daily lives. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnic origin, or gender in any policies or programs.
